Hi,

I'm playing WildFire for a week now, and I'm getting some questions here ... I don't play JA2 for some time, maybe I forgot something.

I have a quest to get food from Drassen. I just conquered the city, saw Deidranna spanking Eliot for that, but still the quest doesn't finish. The priest just keeps asking for wine ... from the rebel hideout, I went right and down all way to Drassen mine.

What am I missing? Do I need to clear the road sectors?

That brings me to another question. How do I make Fred to put their workers mining for me?

I am having the same problem(s) and visiting the iDeal forums did NOT answer the questions.

The priest continues to ask for more drink, regardless of how many times you've given it to him (and gotten him drunk).

The miner refuses to give me control of the Drassen mine, despite my having 100% control of the town, 41% loyalty in Drassen, and a merc with leadership 71 asking (Raider).

So the question remains: what level of loyalty and/or leadership is necessary to get the Drassen mine? And what does it take to get the priest to do what he's supposed to do?

I've been parked in Drassen for a week now, am broke (the Chitzena mine is not enough income, and Tony has been gone for a week), and I am getting nowhere ...

I make the head miner convinced with my IMP 35 leadership after i get 39% of loyalty (that is after Thor speaks to Doreen) and the father is fixed easily with Ira.

Easily fixed with Ira? Sad

That's not my case ... when speaking with Ira to the priest, he just keeps asking for drink and something more Ira could offer but the game developers didn't let her give ...

I'm on a budget now, I have shadow for 5 more days, and about 125$ worth of money ... Sad that's bad.

Is there anyway someone could get a link to the patch back online? If that's legal of course. Why can't Ideal or Strategy First put it on fileplanet?

How big is it? Could it be sent in an e-mail perhaps?

The Liberators Patch is 43.9KB. It's a real small download.

Hi,
I am playing wildfire for a week too.
Had same problems when talked to them during night.
When I talked to father with Ira during the day everything went fine.
Same thing with lead miner.
My caracter has leadership 35 and loyalty in Drassen was I think below 30%.

I hope this helps.

Hi,Seabee.Got the disk you sent.
I'm in!Experienced. For the first time...damn the blue skirts m.f. are good!
Father Walker only sent the food after I got Chitzena,SAM site under,Drassen and D15 SAM,I was level 8 and having LDR 56!Loyalty was around 65% in both towns-should I kill those civilians?
Talked to him with Ira,with Fox:NOTHING!
Even tried it with Raider-saving first to try this...STILL NOTHING!
Could it be because I got Drassen first?Rushed in.

Heck,it's an animal planet there:Lynx,Wolf,Fox,Spider,Raven,me(LION-Night Ops expert, this skill saved my but!)-only funded by duplicating weapons and selling them to Tony...
Ira,Mitrytza,Gasket(!) too.

So,please, could you or another amiable fellow post a link to the liberators patch? So that newbies could have fun playing this (overcooked?) game.

AZAZEL, Happy to hear that it finally got there. There are links to the I8 Sam site fix and the Liberators patch kindly posted by Mr. Headshot in the beginning of this thread. I just downloaded the I8 Sam fix so they are still working. If you have trouble downloading them I will email them to you as a .rar or .zip if you are allowed attachments to your email. I had a lightening storm trash my Win98se game computer. Power supply was cooked even though it was plugged into a surge protector. Now windows is reporting memory errors ect.. But I have all of the files on CD's so I did not loose anything as far as I know. From now on I will unplug my computers during a thunderstorm. Enjoy your adventure in Wildfire & don't forget Meltdown will bail you out if you get in trouble.

@Seabee

I'm happy at least some people take the effort to read a topic. About the thunderstorm thrashing your computer, i had that with my first PC. Lightning hit the ground some 25 meters away from our house and it fried my PC to kingdom come. Now, when i hear thunder i immediately switch my computer off.
Safety first!

Relatively off-topic:
A friend of mine unplugged most of his electro-equipment before going on vacation, (well, his parents did)
lightning struck his neighbours house and jumped through thin air (!) from the plug to the powercables that was
like 10cm below the plug on the floor. WHAM BAM, no more pc, stereo, dvd and tv.
And black stripes all over the place where the electricity cables ran behind the wallpaper.
