Must have been a type. ALT-N doesn't swap NVG/Sun Goggles in stategic, either. Maybe I should update Strategic so that SHIFT+N will swap for the current merc.

I am not sure where that ALT-N came from. I think I was fed some bogus material. Smile

And updating strategic to also use shift-N sounds good to me.

SHIFT + N works perfectly. Thanks. Smile

On bolt-action guns, how do you put a new round in the chamber after shooting ? The only way I know is to left click on an ennemy. And is there any hot key for this ?

Right click anywhere to chamber rifles and pump shotguns. There is no hot key for this. Remember though if your still in battle it costs AP's to do that. 2 or 3 I think.

2 or 3 for pump-action shotguns only, it is way more for bolt-action rifles.

Hi
I would like to know if this hot key command is still useful in 1.13 considering the facts that now you can put both nvg and sunglasses at the same time.
thanks and sorry for my crappy English

You should not be able to wear both NVG goggles and Sun goggles at the same time. Sounds like a bug.

That's not wearing them, that was just a place to hold them before the New Inventory. They still have to be placed in a face slot to be useful.

You probably need to change the "enable tooltips" in the ini file. There's a special ini setting for enemy tool tips, there you can set, whether they are available at all, the detail setting you get, when viewing a soldier, etc... I would guess that the setting is deactivated or set to a limited range in your ini.

Btw.:

A hotkey for auto-unloading vehicles would be great. Is such a thing possible? It's pretty annoying to unload every single item from a full loaded car.

Not only is it possible, it has already been implemented, shift+e at strategic map.

Cool, it works. Never even thought about trying it out. Wink

Oh my... though strategic map should be replaced with sector inventory. And it seems to only work, when a merc is in the vehicle. But then it works just fine. Great. Smile

Sorry if this is a pretty obvious question, but how can I enter turn-based mode when I'm sneaking around and I spot an enemy? I know I can force the issue by firing at the enemy, but I'd like a more elegant solution to this.

I've tried all the obvious key shortcuts like D, Enter, etc but they don't do anything.

Check out what the mod says, it was something like Ctrl+Shift+X. I also believe the shortcut may not work for every EXE of the mod.

In regular 1.13 the game goes into turn based as soon as you see an enemy, so I am assuming you are talking about the real time mod.

Wonderfull version with that semi Turn Based. Fun walking around enemies without going automatically in combat/mode.

The importend Hotkey with this latest edition is the "L" for looking around wenn sneaking around.
My left hand controle the left side of the keyboard so wenn need the L i let loose the mouse.

Horrible...

I serious hope you find a way to costumized them.

I am playing 2975, in Ja2_Options.INI,
There are options for SHIFT_F, default is true:
SHIFT_F_UNLOAD_WEAPONS/ SHIFT_F_REMOVE_ATTACHMENTS

; Allows the player to stay in real time while unnoticed by the enemy.
; While observing enemies in real time, the player may enter turn-based at will.
; Ctrl-x: While observing enemies in real time, enter turn-based mode. Does not work if no enemies are seen,
; inactive if RT sneaking is disabled.
; Shift-Ctrl-x: Toggle the real-time sneaking mode on/off. Enters turn-based if the player can see an enemy.
; Toggling it back on in turn-based, while stil unseen by the enemy does NOT revert to real time -
; turn-based will continue until the player no longer sees any enemies.

They have to have the same type of ammo that is already loaded in the gun (if it is not empty), and they also have to have room in the gun to add ammo to it.

does exist a key to aim the weapon the direction you're facing like in Night Ops? i find rather annoying clicking L and the direction every time, not to mention sometimes happens to misclick (actually happens a lot on rooftops)

Nothing personal but I think that the hotkey list at Wiki 1.13 Hotkeys is a bloody mess.

Looks like keys were just tossed into some category at random.

I resorted the list so I could actually use it in game...
http://www.hentschke-keramik.de/rmh/JA2_Keychart.odt (Open Office)

Did I miss anything?
If there are no objections then I'll wrap it up as a PDF because some people still think that Open Office is some kind of evil hack.

PS:
Alt + R / Shift + R (reload) doesn't work for me, either. No where, no how. Real pity.
And yes, ammo is available. The exact type and mag size that the weapons would like.
