Thanks everybody, I'll go use Ctrl-X now Smile

BTW I'm playing the latest SVN version, which has the realtime sneaking built-in, I believe.

Also, i'm doing some re-structuring on the hotkey list.. It makes no sense that some tactical-screen hotkeys related to combat are in Game Interface, and some in Tactical Screen.

Hmm.. do we still need / want to list Vanilla only hotkeys separately? Concidering it is 1.13-wiki..

Oh crud.. you are really not going to make this easy, are you..?
Perhaps i'll go nasty and create a new page for vanilla-only hotkeys, because trying to put both into the same page is going to look like crap and difficult to find anything out of.

Wonderfull version with that semi Turn Based. Fun walking around enemies without going automatically in combat/mode.

The importend Hotkey with this latest edition is the "L" for looking around wenn sneaking around.
My left hand controle the left side of the keyboard so wenn need the L i let loose the mouse.

Horrible...

I serious hope you find a way to costumized them.

I am playing 2975, in Ja2_Options.INI,
There are options for SHIFT_F, default is true:
SHIFT_F_UNLOAD_WEAPONS/ SHIFT_F_REMOVE_ATTACHMENTS

; Allows the player to stay in real time while unnoticed by the enemy.
; While observing enemies in real time, the player may enter turn-based at will.
; Ctrl-x: While observing enemies in real time, enter turn-based mode. Does not work if no enemies are seen,
; inactive if RT sneaking is disabled.
; Shift-Ctrl-x: Toggle the real-time sneaking mode on/off. Enters turn-based if the player can see an enemy.
; Toggling it back on in turn-based, while stil unseen by the enemy does NOT revert to real time -
; turn-based will continue until the player no longer sees any enemies.

I had no clue there were this many hot keys. Really saves time from clicking and works more accurately too. Thanks for letting us know what all the options are. Wink

Is ALT-R and SHIFT-R working for people? Don't seem to be doing anything for me in tactical real-time.

They have to have the same type of ammo that is already loaded in the gun (if it is not empty), and they also have to have room in the gun to add ammo to it.

Both combos work for me. Unless I want to change the ammo type, I never reload manually anymore...

does exist a key to aim the weapon the direction you're facing like in Night Ops? i find rather annoying clicking L and the direction every time, not to mention sometimes happens to misclick (actually happens a lot on rooftops)

Nothing personal but I think that the hotkey list at Wiki 1.13 Hotkeys is a bloody mess.

Looks like keys were just tossed into some category at random.

I resorted the list so I could actually use it in game...
http://www.hentschke-keramik.de/rmh/JA2_Keychart.odt (Open Office)

Did I miss anything?
If there are no objections then I'll wrap it up as a PDF because some people still think that Open Office is some kind of evil hack.

PS:
Alt + R / Shift + R (reload) doesn't work for me, either. No where, no how. Real pity.
And yes, ammo is available. The exact type and mag size that the weapons would like.

Oh, BTW: the Reload features do work but only during or directly after a fight in a sector.
No fight, no worky.
That's why I originally thought they don't work ever.

Is there a hot key that switches from your current weapon to the one in your backup weapon slot?

How about aimed autofire without using the mouse wheel? I would very much like to use the extended mouse buttons and mousewheel, except my crappy 20th century mouse has no mousewheel...

Of course Very Happy, as soon as I decide on spending the 30 minutes or so buying a mouse, or popping some soldier's head with a .50 BMG Very Happy.

Anyway, wasn't there a project on hotkey externalization? JA2 could really use some work in this area. Smile

Bought a new mouse... and the aimed burst/autofire doesn't work, at least in build 4057. the CTH cursor just sits there without moving a pixel. Maybe its an NCTH-only thing? I'm not using NCTH until the new release comes out...

CTH cursor will not show anything different, but check by pressing the 'F' key. You should see a difference in CTH percentage (and APs used).
If still no change, go to single fire mode, aim fully, and then switch to auto-fire, to see if the aim portion is applied correctly.

Is there a key to pump a shotgun? Currently I can only do it when I see an enemy, and I'd much rather do it *before* I see an enemy...

Right clicking anywhere in the game world brings up the aiming or reload cursor.

PGUP Additional method of changing stances in the order of Prone, Crawl, and Standing. Pressing it while Standing next to a building with a flat roof will cause the Merc to climb onto the roof.
PGDN Additional method of changing stances in the order of Standing, Crawl, and Prone. Pressing it while Prone on the edge of a roof will cause the Merc to climb down.

Hehe me too, but I meant additional in that they're in addition to the C, S, and P keys. I changed the wording and went ahead and added it to the Hot Key list on the wiki as:

PGUP Cycles through stances in the order of Prone, Crawl, and Standing. Pressing it while Standing next to a building with a flat roof will cause the Merc to climb onto the roof.
PGDN Cycles through stances in the order of Standing, Crawl, and Prone. Pressing it while Prone on the edge of a roof will cause the Merc to climb down.
