Ok, seem to have got the game working:
installed and patched i think, so started a new game. got the jerry chopper crash in the snow zone. fought my way into the next zone, to the awesome war zone. done that, made it to the base, got sarge, spooky, taylor and ruiz. got the budda quest, done, got the radio. geared up, got on a chopper and landed in a zone to the south with a large marine patrol, made it out of the other side of that fight, now i dunno where i'm going or what to do.
am i going the right way as i have never had any kind of directions.
