Hi Guys
Please, I need help with Jagged Alliance 1. I just recently discovered DOS box and managed to install JA1, I am really enjoying rediscovering the game. But I came across a bug and don't know how to fix it. I have conquered nearly half the island, and finally got an F14 rifle, and I was so glad.
But at the end of the day, where the review of the day's progress in the map, a funny video clip came on the top left hand of the screen, where it shows the enemy being killed, and it went on for quite a while.
To my horror, when I went back to the base, and checked on my base's inventory, all my stuff was gone. All my pistols, shotguns, ammo, everything was gone. Now I can't continue with the game cause all my stuff just vanished.
I restarted another game, and it did it again. Please help me, as I love to play JA1 as an alternative to JA2, and there are not many games like JA, although I play Silent Storm Sentinels, and its pretty good.
Is it a bug that is causing it, has anyone come across it, and does anyone know how to fix it?
Just to let you know, I am the oldest player of JA in Tasmania, (I am 58), I played JA1 maybe 20 times since I first bought it in the 90's and I played JA2 perhaps 40 times to completion, with all sorts of mercs, not just the good ones.
Someone please help. I didn't know about this forum until I recently discovered it. I think its really good. Cheers
