Ok, so we have tried nearly every type of Fan Fiction imaginable with varied success...Now its time for something new, lol. I'm not the kind to give up easily.

I've always pictured Jagged Alliance as an awesome mini-series.

So here we go, I'm recruiting talent for a mini series of short stories based on Jagged Alliance.

What my dream would be is to do a comic strip, but I'm not an artist and I'm assuming that doing all those panels would take a LOT of work. But if any artist was willing to try it, I'd totally etertain the idea Wink

An artist though is still needed, just a cool cover art to act as a 'teaser' while the rest of us writers hammer out the actual story. And maybe a few pictures for the stories themselves.

Two to three writers is all we should need. We would communicate through some form of chat, be it MSN IM, or AIM, so having that ability is a must.

My goal is for this to not turn into a HUGE overwhelming project, but a fun entertaining one instead.

I have a background in mind for the 'universe', let me know what you think of it so any changes can be made.

Set sometime in the near future, the world war three has just ended leaving many 'upstart' and 'fledgling' nations in its wake. The war ended with an agreed peace (think World War One) rather than military conquest, and many nations are still bitter against each other. The United States of America and Great Britain took the heaveist losses and now suffer from massive unemployment. With the disolvment of the United Nations and no league to take it place Private Military Companies are on the rise as uneployed soldiers from across the world attempt to cash in on the unstable world enviorment.

I'd support this as a writer. It'd give me something to blow off some creative steam in between PnP sessions, and I might get some inspiration to piece together something great for my players.

I'd like to start off the bat with a decsion to be made...

Should we create out own storyline, mercs, etc? Or should we simply do the Jagged Alliance 2 story told in our own words?

Questions, Comments, Concerns?

If you guys want to make stories with custom mercs then I'll need some descripitions of their appearance... And since I don't have the 1.13 mod I'll need some photographic references of the guns used in this Mod to make some decent work...

Right on, so while I was thinking of doing something completly new in at first, the thought of doing a story on good old Vanilla JA2 using our favorite merc's might be cool as well.

The strips on the front page of the web-site from your link look Cheesy... But it would have some comic relief value anyway!

Making a mini-series based on Vanilla makes things much more easier for me... I already made a "custom" model for a female IMP, should we put her on this project? Wink

I'm the responsible for the artwork, but here's some of my points of view:

Random missions (like DG) would be more interesting then using the (overrated) JA2 storyline.

Mercs getting injured, I want to see a good story, not a Hollywood cliche.

I think that's all, these are good ideas? Well for me they sound good, but...

I am an artist with a background in comic-book styled illustration/dynamic anatomy etc. and would love to contribute some stuff...at least a cover or some pin-ups if not a page or three of story illustration. But I am sort of unreliable ATM unfortunately. WHen not in-and-out of the hospital/doctor's office I am usually behind schedule on doing artwork for some band or graphics for some sharware/freeware CRPG.

But let me see if I can't crank out a drawing and maybe color it in Paint Shop Pro. If I get anything done I will post it here.

Well, It's been a while I've wanted to write a story, but my mind is always in between two styles... well 3 actually.
Jagged Alliance
Fallout
Baldur's Gate

But since my favorite thing is guns... well JA would rule the others out...

Problem is I don't have MSN or any chatting abilities we're I live (in the countryside, although might get the net in a few months, but can't count on it). I could maybe start writing some short battle-scenes, story ideas and then just e-mail them to whomever will handle it... Just let me know if I can be of any help in any ways, taking into account I may only be able to log on here 1once per 2 weeks approx. (1once a week at most)... and I'd be a newbie writer. Smile
