No, I mean blow up the computers without killing all the enemies, and then retreat from the battle, while you are the attacking side. The Queen still controls the site, but the sky is yours for a while. Pointless, yeah, but kinda interesting.

I decided to try out some of the tactics described above.
The first experiment was to attack the Drassen SAM site. Red cut a hole in the east side of the fence, then planted a bomb outside the wall. After detonating the bomb, he immediately got inside and planted a second bomb by the computers. He ran out and the bomb was detonated. The computers were destroyed and the airspace turned green. The team retreated, thus "losing" the battle but the airspace is still green, several days after.
The second experiment was on the Grumm/Chitzena SAM site. Sidney sniped the entire garrison and the battle was won. The computers were destroyed (using handgrenades) and the team left the site. As soon as enemy reinforcements arrived, the airspace turned red.
The third experiment was on Cambria SAM site. I had Trevor aiming mortar fire on the south wall of the main building from the south edge of the map. One grenade to blow the fence and the outer wall. A second grenade to blow the inner wall. The third and the fourth grenade into the computer room (the mortar can actually shoot almost straight angels). I checked the strategic map and the airspace was green. The team left the site, "losing" the battle. The airspace is still green.
Conclusions:
*Taking a SAM site turns the airspace green until the enemy retakes the sector. (duh!)
*Destroying the computers and taking the sector (as in experiment two described above) will turn the airspace green until the enemy retakes the sector.
*Destroying the computers and NOT taking the sector (as in experiment one and three described above)will turn the airspace green for at least five days, perhaps more.
The fourth experiment will be to attack the Meduna SAM site. I will take the sector and plant a bomb with a remote detonator in the computer room. Then I will have a merc waiting int he sector with the remote trigger. As soon as the enemy retakes the sector, thus turning the airspace red again, I will detonate the bomb. Expected result:
*The airspace will turn green for at least five more days.
I will also carefully observe if the airspace turns red again after more than five days around the sectors where the enemy has control over a broken SAM computer.

You have to destroy the computer with the green light...
Then the area stays safe even after the enemy retakes it.
I've been told that elite enemy troops can fix it.
Never tried it out. Don't always carry explosions with me.
