I just bought the JA2 Gold version about a month ago, I had played JA2 extensively years ago but lost the disk.
I'm dying to play these mods, but neither DL or UC has worked for me. Both seem to have the same problem. I followed the install instructions perfectly, but when I try to run either game, I just get a blank screen, and eventually have to Alt+Tab out force close the JA2 program (which is not responding).
Any suggestions? Is it a problem with the JA2 version I have? (Bought the online download from Filefront.) I can't run the 1.13 mod due to having the downloaded online version, but I'm patched to 1.12.
For UC, I followed the 1-2-3 install guide post, and got a CTD when I got to the Play UC/Install UC screen. So I followed the secondary instructions (double click the JA2_UC.exe) and I get the black screen.

I'm having problems installing UC to v1.12 as well. At the install screen where it looks for the JA exe file, it won't open the C drive to look for it.
