1) Is it true that some locals, like Hans or some bartenders talk about Hamous, when he is near the city? Getting the Ice Cream truck is always a boost to the game, because you need less planning ahead and your mercs are always fresh after movements.

2) Was it a bug or do you still get ambushed when exploring with a vehicle? In some version of 1.13 I started in the middle of the battlefield with the truck, when I entered a sector that was greyed on the strategical map before.

Hey sunshine, Hamous appears mostly in these sectors. G6,F12,D7,D3 there random at the start of easch game. I find him most of the time in onr of those western sectors.

You do stand a chance of being ambushed in a vehicle if you go into unexplored sectors. You will be put in the middle of the map and your vehicle can damage too from the enemy fire.

Thanks for the hints. Smile

:animread: I have done some research in the source code. It seems to me like Hamous is moved to one of the sectors {G6, F12, D7, D3, D9} every early morning (4 o'clock). The greatest chance to find him would be to move through most of these sectors within one day. This makes you move through bloodcat areas, so it can not be done with a single leader merc.

I cannot prove this with the source code, but apparently skipper talks about Hamous regardless of his position on the map. It seems to be more like a hint that Hamous is around in the whole of Arulco.

About the only references I ever got anyway was that Hans will tell you that he saw Joey.

And Skipper might tell you about hamous, you can also get a handy keycard from Skipper.

Skipper resides in Jake Cameron's Estoni junkyard. By the time i reach Estoni, i have found Hamous ages ago, usually. I just beat the road Drassen-Cambria-San Mona, and i always find him. Hell, one can even reload the game once you know where he is in that current game. Funny enough, in my current game i hardly ever use the truck anymore. i use the Helo: fast, can fly over impassable terrain and reasonably cheap. When im sitting on half million bucks of savings, a thousand or two means really little to me. 1000$? What is that worth? One AK 74? There are tons of them lying allover arulco lol. At one time i had Highwire in San mona making deals with Tony, and more than 150 rifles were lying around in the sector Smile

Plus fuel for the truck is hard to come by at the early stages of the game
