Can any one help me?
Last night i didnt sleep! I was looking for JA2 and UC. I find. I install. I run. And get disipointed!
First was game strategic map.
In some forums, (here to) I read that UC has new map. Hmm I look and see old JA2 map ONLY with some nev town names.
Next im start combat. First as always choper fye's in place and drop mercs. But in UC in same time militas start fight.
OK OK OK ... maybe it realy must hapend in game.
But bigest shock was what map looks like.
Two words - BIG MESS. With mess i mean all was in wrong places. otside was some furniture, inside the houses was some furniture in weard places and so on.
May be some one can haple me? please, becouse this game is soo damn good.

Did you launch the game from the UC.exe or the regular Ja2.exe? Did you install the game correctly?

During installation you have to find the Ja2.exe and this is where a lot of people messed up on this.

But then you have to launch the game from the uc.exe.

Im geting woryed that JA2.exe was broken ... becouse it was polish version. but I did all that I read in forums.
Make fresh JA2 instal in new folder (not in Program files ) . then I run UC install, find JA2.exe and install mod.
I dont hawe ideas what was wrong. Now i downloading JA2 Gold and i will try to put on that JA2 v1.13 mod. and after that instal UC.
and ... jeah ... almoust all sites with some fixes in foorums was dead Sad

This doesn't sound right at all. UC should auto install then apply patch lastly.

Launch Game from the UC Exe only otherwise it will not read the new maps properly (JA2set in binary data controls the UC tilesets etc) will not have the new weapons stats or details (mostly stored within the UC Exe but some from binary data itemdesc & braydesc) anything stategic and a whole host of other things.

It is the most common mistake in UC! Give it another try.

Ammmm all is fine until I make choises and start game. After that game plays intro film, same as in JA2 that was first strange thing. I dunno is there diferent intro sceenes in JA2 and UC.
AND I try to do like this:
1. Install JA2 (polish ver. )
2. Install UC
3. (!) Instal JA2 v1.13 mod.

After that mercs was armed. With guns.But all ather things was the same - furniture outside of hauses, and so on.

Oh I see where you go wrong. UC & 1.13 are not compatible (yet). You must choose one or the other but not both!!!

Unsure. I have 1.07 as my base point. I installed UC mod over one copy of 1.07. I installed 1.13 mod over a different copy of 1.07.

Gold should work fine as a base point but check the threads to be certain.
