Ello folks, Been playing around on UC today and Im a bit confused by a few things.
What do the Police do exactly other than observe gunfights and get in the way of your Mercs ? has anyone else had that happen to them because its getting really irritating for me lol
Also wanted to ask - what purpose do the Gunrunners serve, I went to their stash at B14 but I can't buy any weapons ? Where can I get them for my team ?
And.. maybe it could be classed as a gripe but I cant get my head around the new combat system compared to the old JA2 or 1.13, it just seems really hit and miss for your mercs even with high marksmenship at near point blank range - is there any way to change it back ?
Hope to hear your thoughts on it.
FYI - I do really like the mod, especially the maps etc but I just can't fathom a few things.
Edit - Also wanted to ask after looking through the beta 1.13/UC thread, where can I download the beta to test it out please ? I couldnt find a download link.

Different mod makers like various ways of working towards their own vision of what a mod should be .Taking something from "this mod" and adding it to "that mod" while updating graphics , etc . makes us all keep on enjoying our game for longer . That said , I doubt I'll ever play the chinese gun mod , kerist , how many types of guns can you use before it gets tedious ? Have you tried scorpions RR mod ? Different locations and quests , it's at Beta stage , but very playable .
A very good mate came from Lancaster , when his dad was in army base near us , lost touch with him many years ago , big Everton fan. Huddersfield , oh dear , team a bit crap aren't they ?

EDIT : closed beta I think , haven't heard from them recently on progress , so any word guys ?
Back to the point, guys: WHERE can I download UC-mod 1.13 mix from? Even if it is beta, even if it is not finished, I still would like to give a try.

Will GatesEither your setup is wrong or you haven't hit the right sectors yet but UC is stuffed full of weaponry. Not the same as drop-all by any means but still more than enough for a full team of 18 by the end. It's a balance thing; drop all makes sense in 1.13 coz of the massive counter attacks; with out it you'd be up the creek. In other mods you don't need it and you have to change your strategy instead. Keeps you on your toes!
True I can understand that, but after playing 1.13 it'd be nice to have some of the ideas implemented into UC because at times you do get swarmed ie the Gangs in the Subways, some of the large Garrissons above ground etc.
It'd be a more alternative method to playing UC either way I think.
By the way - How on earth do you make money in UC ? I raided the Bank in Fort Kip before I put the game down but I never could get a more stable income flowing in.
Edit : Forgot to ask Will, are you a Student down in Sheffield or born and bred there mate ?

lol I was a Student, went to College for my A Levels because I left school at 16 to go out and work [Im 23 now], was offered a few placements at Universities but turned it down, just isnt the life for me to be truthful with you. Im in the process of applying to the Army at the moment but have to wait and see how that pans out first [ Medical and all the mountains of paperwork for you]
Ex Wife eh ? Shame you can't do a Brewster with his missus the Warden at Tixa rofl.

Right... It is not possible to send him PM. I left message on the othe board, but there is no reply.
Guys, does ANYBODY have these files, please? I really would like to try mix UC-JA1.13
