Hi, I'm new in the forum but not so new to JA2, I played the game for long time but there is one thing that I can't figure out. When I aim at someone at first the crosshair is white, then it becomes yellow and then it becomes white again and so on. I wanted to know what does the color mean and if it changes something.

Also, I want to know which are the best mods to improve graphics and add good and balanced weapons into the game, thanks... Smile

its pulsing between white and yellow? Sounds like you're out of effective range for your weapon.

Yellow means you just reached maximum aim, any further clicks will begin the aiming cycle (from worst to best) again.

But there is also "Big" yellow, that means that for every aim level there is black, white, gray or yellow...

What do you mean with "Big" yellow?

Normally you put the crosshairs on the target, and they are either white (meaning you can aim) or they are black (which means there's almost no chance to hit, whatever you do. Often you get a phrase from the merc if you still try to shoot in this case).
If they are white, and you click several times (4, 6, or 8 [depending on scope used]), then the last one (4th, 6th, ot 8th) should turn the crosshairs yellow. Most often the circles of the crosshairs get smaller with each aiming step, so in almost all cases, the yellow circle is the smallest one.

Or another possible cause of big yellow is....
He ran out of AP to use for aiming.
So it's stuck at the so called "Big" Yellow.

Let's say if your character has 15 AP, and it requires 15 AP for the character to ready AND shoot his/her weapon, your aim circle will NEVER go smaller no matter how many times you right-click on the enemy. Right-clicking under that circumstance only makes the colour of the circle go to yellow with no reduction in aiming circle size.

PS: Hope I am right. Been a long time since I last played JA2 though enjoying 1.13 now.
