hi guys!

im finally back, have been without a pc for ages and just bought a laptop. though the stupid thing is there are no widescreen resolutions available in the ini, only 1024x768

so my question to you is, is there any way i can make it work on a 1280x800 resolution?

Your best bet may be to play in windowed mode. It won't fill your widescreen but it will be playable.

I know it might sound daft, but I've never really had experience with modding and all. Crying or Very Sad

If that is indeed INI file, then I've checked, it but did not find any window mode in there, perhaps I was checking the wrong file.

Just run the INI editor, set the listbox called "Windowed Mode" on the upper right to "TRUE" and click the button immediately below it labeled "Launch JA2 v1.13". Easy peasy and no editing necessary.

I always run JA2 from the INI Editor so I can select anything I want before I run the game. If you have more than one data folder for other mods, etc. you can also select it from the options at the top of the editor

As Kaerar wrote, it is the == JA2.ini == file in the main folder, where your JA2.exe is.
The JA2-options.ini exists more than once, there's one in every Data or Custom-Data folder.
