So, today I looked through the Deadly Games merc files and decided to write all information about relations, special traits and evolution down.
Here it is.
Note: I don't think that this is actually complete. For example, I believe that certain mercs (Sidney, Wink) get a bonus when throwing grenades. The tendency of some explosives experts to cut fuses a bit shorter than they should also isn't covered here. However, everything that Proedit shows you is.
Anyway, I hope it'll be of use to someone. Besides me, that is. Oh, and if there's something wrong or missing, please tell me.

Yeah...the Fearsome Five.
Mike, super soldier for hire, and his team of experienced mercenaries, consisting of:
The mighty It, who has wrestled with bears and won! (Also wrestled with his pants and lost.)
The incredible Gary, who has once killed an entire squad consisting of 30 elite soldiers, with 15 shots. (Exact details of the story vary suspiciously depending on who you asked. His father once said it were toy soldiers.)
The great Turtle, an expert tactician with a knack for logistics. (Abilities he mainly acquired because, well, the less he has to move himself, the better.)
The awesome Tex, who has seen plenty of action, taking out some of the most dangerous gunslingers and feared desperados. (All on screen, but still.)
Sounds intimidating.

DNA from the LowlandsThe funny thing was Dino, after two or three mercs got sacked he said: I'm quitting, I'm too afraid of getting fired again.
Haha...things like this make me really miss some of the old mercs. I mean, nothing against Barry, but as a character, he's just not nearly as cool as Smoke and Dyno.
SintNever knew there was actually a "Hopeless Shot" trait. Does explain a lot of epicly failed shots though. 
I wonder if that trait actually influences that. Now, I know it mainly hinders marksmanship improvement, but "Hopeless Shot" mercs really seem to underperform even when you consider their low marksmanship. For example, I once took Needle through a short campaign (10 missions or so), and he managed to kill exactly one enemy.
Would be a little strange to have a trait influence the same stat it governs, but who knows...

Judging by Jagged Alliance 2, it probably just means that a merc who is a "Gentleman" doesn't quit as soon as he normally would when there are women in the team, and may likewise affect the morale of women in the team.
The reverse would be true for a "Chauvinist", obviously.
I think I'll put that to the test by hiring one of the Chauvinists and failing missions until he quits, then doing it again with him in a team full of women.
