Now, this isn't a typical violence boast story; it's something that happened that I found to be one of the more realistic happenings of the JA2 world.
My force consists of a 6-man IMP squad, so Ira and Dmitri always wind up in Drassen practicing marksmanship or something. After taking the main facility and prison sectors in Alma, I choppered in Ira & Dmitri to the prison sector to finish training militia while my main force got a med-evac to Cambria to treat casualties.
With 20 militia each in both sectors, the prison got contact shortly after the helicopter left, which left Ira and Dmitri at the bottom of the map, right beside the main counter-attack force, with only their initial issue kit. At the enemy's first turn, Ira got shot up pretty bad, and Dmitri took a solid hit, though most of the forces were preoccupied with the militia opening up on them with automatic fire. The two rebels sprinted for the nearest open door, but when they got there, it was blocked by more militia. Running out of time, Ira turned and discharged her revolver into a persuing member of the queen's army, but missed. The soldier returned fire with his shotgun, missing Ira but laying out flat the militia member in the door frame. The two rebels then ran into the safety of the prison walls.
Ira first patched up Dmitri, while the militia were trying their best to repel the queen's army. When his bleeding stopped, he ran off in search of the nearest unlooted corpse from the former prison guard, while Ira tended her own wounds. As Dmitri ran down the hallway, shots tore through the windows all around him as more militia fell. He turned the corner, and stumbled on a body. Without pausing to consider the irony of taking the body armour off of somebody who had been shot to death, he quickly suited up, and picked up the AK-74SU and one extra magazine of ammo, then ran off to the gatehouse to add his automatic fire to the chorus of battle.
Before Ira could finish first-aid, an enemy charged through the door. She quickly drew her revolver and put two rounds into his chest, then scrambled over to pick up his HK 21E and opened up towards the growing pile of dead bodies on the front line.
Within a few minutes, the dust had settled, and the rebels had survived the fiercest battle they've ever known.

nice job Dubeckyj. Something like that happened to me as well and ironically it was dimitri and ira as well.
So I was preparing for the counter-attack on Drassen Mine. Everybody was posted on a roof or on a corner, prone or crouched, with their rilfes and scopes readied. Hostiles were coming wave after wave and were taken down one by one with the help of militia. After a while the militia suffered a lot of casualties and i had to move some of the mercs into different places to avoid being trapped/surrounded by stopping their advance. So Ira was near the chruch. She was running further into the south of the sector, and lay prone near a tree. Dimitri was covering Ira with his Scoped HK SL-8 (I think it was, not sure). It all was easy peasy after another wave spawned in and were coming closer and closer. Having made the mistake of not moving Ira further back to Dimitri's position she was hit a couple of times. Only half of the health was gone, but suddenly there was a shotgun shot which left Ira at 9 Health and dying. Dimitri had to move off the roof and run over to Ira to cover and eat all the bullets instead of Ira. Spider was on her way already to patch her up, but she was half a sector away, on the roof of the toiletbuilding. THEN it hit dimitri and was also dying, so I decided to move Ice from near the mine entrance down there. By the time Spider arrived Dimitri and Ira were almost dead being left with maybe 4 Health. She wouldnt have been able to fix them up on time on her own, so she gave a medkit to Ice to fix Dimitri and Spider fixed Ira JUST in time. Spider and Ice also got hit in the process but not badly. So with them 4 wounded and in the centre of the enemy's attention, I had to create smoke around the area and I was able to evacuate everyone in time and finish the rest off.
Now when I was playin that game last week I felt really excited instead of that mundane 'I kill everyone and I conquer everything and always win' etc. Suppose the game will be far more exciting if people stop quicksaving on every single occasion.
