Hi,

This might be a stupid question but is there a "sure" place where i can find aluminum rods ? i've found steel ones pretty much everywhere but no aluminums :\ (for rod/spring)

 I don't know about "sure"...but I seem to find them mostly in urban areas and specifically around the factor sectors of Grumm.

Grumm and Estoni are the most likely places to find aluminum rods. The sector just west of Balime i think too.

While it's not quite as sure-fire, you might just want to clean up a few enemy patrols. I don't know why tactically enemies decided to carry little rods with them, but they did. I seemed to find most of mine this way.

If I recall correctly estoni has some into the trash and into the garage where Maddog is.
I found some in Grumm in the factory (large warehouse)

 I use the "drop all" option and I find rods, springs too, among the loot after a fight. I don't find many of them, roughly one spring and/or rod every other fight, but with 2 to 3 fights every night I managed to gather as many rod&spring as I need.
