I have a bunch of game mechanic questions to which I have been unable to find the answer myself anywhere. Perhaps some of you can help me with them?
Here goes:
1) Are grenade launchers considered heavy weapons for calculation of the heavy weapon trait or is it just LAWS and mortars?
2) What exactly is affecting getting an interrupt? I realize that level plays a role, but what other factors do? Agility? Action points gained by energy booster drugs? Morale?
3) Is dexterity affecting shooting accuracy in any way?
That's it, hope anyone knows the answer and is willing to respond to it. Thanks in advance.

Yeah, you are right, I read the guides and realized that this one was missing. Nevertheless the others were very helpful and answered many of the other questions I had. In my opinion this information is absolutely critical to playing the game and its a shame they didn't clarify it more in the manual.
If I may ask though, why did you never write a guide about interrupts / who gets the first turn? Since you generally have spotting advantages in long range combat it doesn't really matter much here. But who gets the first turn plays a very large role in close quarters combat and this is by far the most dangerous and most casaulty demanding situation in JA2. If you know exactly what factors are affecting this you could much better put yourself in situation where you would get the first turn. So such a guide would definitely help many people here a lot.

The guides cover mechanics in JA2 1.13, not JA2... Besides, as many will tell you, it's not always the best idea to let people know how stuff works. That leads to "Min-Max" play, which is largely undesirable from the designer's standpoint. I only publish these things because on a forum people have a CHOICE of whether to read it or not, and are probably only here because they want more information about the game anyway. Besides, explaining these things helps me (and hopefully other coders) to understand how some stuff works so that they can CHANGE IT more easily.

Because it's very complicated, mainly, but also because and I haven't yet gotten to impulse to do it. Rome wasn't built in a day.
