Disarm the trap just in front of Fi and a few moments later, a soldier appears out of thin air as if she just walked through the wall.

Sector Fi ?

But you are not alone.

I have seen enemies go through the wall of one of the the guards rooms in the corners of the arena in Meduna (after I disarmed the traps). I have seen Dimitri go through a wall in the destroyed high school of Cambria too. For Dimitri, there was no enemy in the sector and I couldn't do it again. For the arena, I didn't keep a savegame of the turn before I disarmed the traps.

I didn't notice anything wrong in these maps, on the contrary to the weapons cache in M9 where there is a missing wall behind the sink.

Might be a wall with bad/missing JSD file. Aka made of thin air and pixels.
I'll load that map in editor and take a look, seems a map error rather than an exe one.

EDIT: I cannot load you savegame, it shows location as ???? and it crashes the moment i load it on r6233. You sure this is a Stracciatella game we're talking about? What distribution are you using?

Thanks for the report and savegame. I can reproduce the problem and I'll investigate.

Savegames from the Windows version cannot be loaded with other versions and vice versa. They save strings differently (2 byte per char vs. 4 byte per char). This is an issue which still needs to be tackled.

That's what I first thought too, but since I couldn't do it again with Dimitri, it could be that the pathfinder sometimes finds it easier to walk through impassable objects.

I've read posts about JSD recently. Are the tools to see the real structure of the pictured objects available on Windows only ?

Unfortunately the editor is DotNet dependent.

The problem seems to be a vanilla bug, because release 0.1 shows the same behaviour. I have to investigate further to find the cause for this.

I myself seem to be able to walk through solid wall. If you select my merc, Spike and click anywhere on the opposite side of the building he is currently behind, he'll walk THROUGH it.

Indeed.

And with the BETA and TEST compile-time options enabled, when you click somewhere to move your merc, a green message says something like "Spike (0): path can't get merc to dest". I could go through the wall of the residential building close to him too.

When the message doesn't show anymore, the merc loses his ability to cross walls.
