Just thought that some may be interested is some updated pics for Stracciatella.

This pack replaces all the guns currently in Vanilla JA2 and Stracciatella. There are multiple authors and credit goes where credit's due Smile
I chose the best I could find of each gun and where there weren't many or any options I made a couple up. Known author's are Coolberg, Tbird49x, and me. I don't know if there are any others involved as a lot of standard 1.13 pics went in, but if there were then good work Smile

It's a pity that the file can only be used with Windows.

Why is that and more importantly how can it be fixed? It would be great to maintain the multi platform aspect of Stracciatella in all projects made for it.

Why is that

The file is obviously a Windows binary.

Use an archive format, which has widespread support: tarballs, zip, even rar would be a better alternative.

They are talking about doing just that for the SMP. This is a huge reason to do this.

Thank you Tron.

Sorry my bad meant to upload the 7z file here! Though Zarax's FTP doesn't like it for downloading (need to right click 'save as' on windows machines!).

Fixed. I added a zip to the downloads Smile

I've just tried the 1.1 revision on Unix (Linux, hadn't played for two months). It doesn't work "as is" because of upper/lower case mismatches in the files names.

The pack provides the "Bigitems" and "Interface" folders while the game engine expects them in upper case: "INTERFACE" and "BIGITEMS".

All the files in those folders are provided in upper case while the game expects them in lower case.

For other people on a case-sensitive OS, the pattern for conversion is:
Interface/MDGUNS.STI -> INTERFACE/mdguns.sti
Bigitems/GUN00.STI -> BIGITEMS/gun00.sti

EDIT: I add a command to translate the gun files to lower case:
Bigitems$ for if in $(ls GUN*.STI); do mv -f $if $(echo $if | tr [:upper] [:lower]); done

Tron changed the policy in subversion recently.

Folders should now be in lower case, including the former "Data" itself.

So, for svn, it's
data/interface/mdguns.sti
data/bigitems/gun*.sti

There's a long time I want to report that there's garbage on the left of the P90 big picture but I always forget.

The esnips file can't be downloaded without installing their spyware or registering. Please upload it somewhere else.

Edit: actually, the main download link is dead. That was the other link that still leads somewhere.

Ah, so that's the problem - for some reason I cannot access http://www.wmwiki.com from here.

Edit: but there was no problem getting it from work, so its just my ISP.
