Playing vanilla JA2 Gold, early in the game, I'm at the Drassen mine building up Drassen's militia. A patrol attacks C13 Drassen, and the auto resolve screen comes up. I notice that one of the attackers' picture is something I've never seen before. It's a head without a helmet, and instead of Healthy (or Troop when dead), it shows "Admin". I have never seen this before. Does anybody know what caused that? I suppose there must be something about it in the source code.

Admins are "yellow-shirts", the lowest level of enemy you encounter. They appear very early in the game in towns and in roaming patrols on the easiest difficulty setting and then dissapear. Think of them as the local police force which is replaced by a military garrison once the queen realizes she has a war on her hands, which is usually after taking Drassen.

This was a roaming patrol which attacked Drassen, and I'm playing on expert difficulty. I've seen yellow shirts when attacking sectors, but I sure don't remember ever seeing that (Admin) on the auto resolve screen before.

Well, this is Drassen we're talking about. Considering the circumstances, it is most likely that they were yellowshirts. Perhaps the detachment was sent out very early in the game.

He must've taken the whole of Drassen on the first day or something. I never experienced yellow shirts trying to retake town zones before.

This was a roaming patrol which attacked Drassen, and I'm playing on expert difficulty. I've seen yellow shirts when attacking sectors, but I sure don't remember ever seeing that (Admin) on the auto resolve screen before.

Happens if You are quick enough. I normally see only one punch of admins (due to my extremely slow game play)

Was the yellow shirt wearing pink leotards? If so that was probably Shanga or Bearpit. They pop in every once in a while. (hahaha)
