I think I figured the missing bodies issue, something must have changed between the original and the gold file structure because it simply doesn't work with 1.11 or 1.12

Again: You are just missing the .jsd files or you misspelled them (case is important).

first off let me say that I regret the way I wrote some stuff and the wy I criticized.

Straciatella is ja2 close to perfect, and trust me I've played all versions so I'm one qualified to judge. My play time must be reaching somewhere around 10 hours now....

I've installed the gold version without the 1.12 patch and the bodies still dissapear. Browsing around the data dir I don't find the bodies.jsd and since it's a fresh gold install made from the origial version I conclude that from regular 1999 JA2 and 2000 gold ja2 they must have changed.

The only *.jsd files I have that could relate are C_dead1.jsd and W_dead.jsd and stuff like that

I'm downloading a regular 1999 ja2 version and I'm going to install it and see how the files compare.

2- In cambria, G9 ( I think), the one with the shops and perko the guy who fixes stuff your mercs have a difficult time navigating inside the homes and you can walk tru walls if you keep walking around the corners. This allowed me to get into the locked rx clinic.

3- sometimes the 'out of range' sound and flashing red/black pointing circle doesn't enter into effect

apart from that it's so far the less buggy version I've found. The missing bodies thing is just critical when it comes to completing the bounty hunter mission
