ok an update, I've downloaded the original 1999 JA2 the american 2 cd version.

Installed and installed straciatella 0.12.1 and still got the missing bodies.

The files are identical to ja2 gold and some are C_dead1.JSD others W_DEAD1_np.jsd so I tried changing them to all lowercase

didn't work, next I try to change them to uppercase and that also didn't work... I'm giving up now I wish there were more people playing straciatella to tell me what they've done to get the bodies to not dissapear...

How did you obtain the version of JA2-Stracciatella, which you are using? What does "ls -R $data_dir" show (of course substitute $data_dir by the path you use in ja2.ini).

Btw, there is a vanilla bug: There should be at most one terrorist per sector, but the code, which should enforce this, is broken, so multiple terrorists can end up in the same sector.
