1. What gun takes those 42 round 5.56 mags? I bought a bunch of them just to convert into machine gun belts, haven't found a gun for them.

2. What's up with those individual rockets? I thought rocket launchers were 1-shot disposables. Do I need to buy them and load them, or is there a reusable launcher?

There are loads of reusable launchers. Why don't you take a gander at your XML editor or check out Bobby Ray's Guns and Things.

So it's only LAWs that get junked after one use? And BRs doesn't have rockets yet in my current game, I've been buying from Tony. I'll have to look into that Steyr Aug, although I'm pretty happy with my current loadout, but looking to run more squads towards the end.

Both exist. You can find all-in-one single shot rocket launchers (one item only, item is "burned out" after fired, disposable) and you can find rockets which you need to load into a launcher (two items, launcher stays, rocket disappears and hopefully goes boom).

Also there are assault rifles with attachable or build in grenade launchers which can shoot different types of ammunition with different sizes (one size per launcher).
