Can I buy these anywhere? I've tried the medical shop in Balime almost every day since it's been available and haven't found any for sale, only had 2 the whole game and they've been used up since.

howard (the chemist with the paki-voice) normally sells them - don't know why your howard does not

I've seen first-aid, medkits, gum, energy boosters and the occasional bottle of alcohol, but no regen. Oh well, I've still got people there.

If at first you don't see them, try again in a while.

Besides Howard, check with Sammy Elgin and Frank. They both might be willing to sell, assuming one piece is good enough for you.

I wonder, do I have to take all my mercs out of the sector for the lists to change? It doesn't seem like it's been static, because he's had different quantitys of the same items.

Looking in the XML Editor, he should have them. What does the "amount" grid mean? Highest number possible? Or is it a likelihood of having the item? And what's a first response kit?

I have only seen this in multiplayer games when Bobby Ray's Guns and Things is enabled as a option.

First response kits are just containers that include a first aid kit, regen booster, and energy booster.

I saw first response kits at Howard's store in an early 1.13 game when I was playing with old inventory. With new inventory, Howard and Bobby Ray's don't have them.

As I said befor I have only seen them in multiplayer. They only contain a regen booster in a non functioning first aid "look a like" kit.

My bad. They only include a regen booster but you can attach a first aid kit, energy booster, and a canteen. This was useful with the old inventory where making room for all those items would have been a hassle.

cpt. tinkywinky is right - that item is a predecessor to the medical pounch and thus obsolete now

Still haven't seen any. Does Balime have to be 100% loyal for them to show up? Or are they supposed to be as rare as Jake's compound 18?

It might have to do with the coolness level. If you would like to, just open your xml editor and set the coolness level of regen boosters lower. Then that pill head pharmacist will sell them to you.

Not really. It was the 5th city I took, and right now I'm making my second push towards Meduna. I vaguely remember reading about some bug where the game would NEVER reach the top coolness level, is that fixed in the most recent 1.13?

I just looked in the XML editor like you suggested, and even though the coolness is only 6, the sci-fi box is checked, so there it is. XML settings work on saved games, right?
