Hello,

I have JA2, JA2 Gold, JA2 UB, & JA2 Wildfire original disks all installed as vanilla and working.

Okay, I copied my JA2 Gold, then patched to v1.12, then applied JA2 v1.13 SVN from this forum.

Game works great, love the new inventory system. Awesome.

Now, I want to setup JA2 Wildfire 6.06 to v1.13. I have seen some things to download, but am confused as to how to get this right.

I also want to setup JA2 Urban Chaos, and would like to go to v1.13 with it, if it is possible.

Any help is appreciated.

 The is a UC 1.13 mod available in the Downloads section of the 1.13 forum Smile

It's not 100% identical but it's a good 1.13 version Wink

Found them. I guess what I was after is this:

Do I patch onto JA2 Wildfire 6.06 (from original disk)

So is it:

Ja2 Wildfire 6.06 --> v1.13 --> Wildfire v1.13

Or

Ja2 Gold 1.12 --> v1.13 --> Wildfire v1.13

Okay, I made a fatal mistake. my v1.13 was build 3111.

I just read the readme that says I must use v1.13 build 2085/2112

My searches are not finding this download for Wildfire to work.

Please help me find link!

 go to 1.13 one click installer. There you find the latest version of 1.13

 3287 is the latest available which is actually SVN revision 1203. 2085 is a buggy and outdated version DO NOT USE IT.

SVN is up to 1205 but the differences don't warrant a new SCI by me until something semi-major, like big set of bug fixes or new exe revision is done.

Okay,

I am still confused.

I downloaded 'JA2 1.13 3111 exe SVN@1194 Full.exe'

All works for JA2 to making it JA2 v1.13

But, you tell me there is a newer version.

I must be daft, have I clicked wrong link?

I was on this page:

I am using one click installer, I am not to smart for all the SVN stuff I seem to read about.

Working:
JA2 Gold v1.12 (original disk)
JA2 Wildfire 6.06 (original disk)
JA2 UB 1.01 (origianl disk)
JA2 Urban Chaos (original MOD Squad addon)

JA2 Gold v1.13 3111 using one click installer - game works - plays fine
JA2 Gold v1.13 3111 to WF6.06 v1.13 fails - I did exactly as told, copy folders, unzipped WKv1.13, checked .ini - it points to Data-Wildfire6.06, but it crashes when run.

 There is a newer SVN version, but Kaerar has yet to make any changes to his SCI's. As he stated most of the new features are miniscule and really aren't grounds enough to warrant a new SCI.

That is fine, so can I assume WF6.06 v1.13 should work with v1.13 3111?

If so, I will check my downloads to make sure I have correct one again for WF v1.13

Everything works like a charm!!!!!!

You guys have really have done an awesome job, I haven't played my games for six years and just was thinking should I sell or keep them?

I am very pleased and if I run into any other JA2 junkies, I will point them to this site!

v1.13 is so cool!

Okay, this may be dumb, but since I did everything using 3111, can I upgrade JA2 v1.13
using
JA2 1.13 3287 exe SVN@1203 Upgrade

So my JA2 v1.13 3111 becomes JA2 v1.13 3287

I believe that will upgrade my JA2 v1.13 version, but not understanding everything, will it also
upgrade my WF version, or is better to start over with that one.

Meaning if I have JA2 WF v1.13 3111, will the JA2 1.13 3287 exe SVN@1203 Upgrade work?
or is it better to start with fresh copy of JA2 Gold?

 To avoid mixing files I separate the folders and have a different install for each mod. Seeing as you just need one basic and untouched install, you can copy the basic directory and keep the original clean. The copied one can be renamed to the mod version and then install the mod to that directory.

Currently I have about 11 JA2 installs in various states of disrepair and mods Wink

The mods will work unless they have their own exe in which case it will be irrelevant if you use a newer version unless it changes files structures...

Honestly....I would just start over. That would eliminate so many potential problems.
