Hello Folks !!!

I originally joined up here about 4 years ago and was totally amazed at the work so many have put into JA2 with the various Mods and such, SO, being an old afficianado of JA since the first version hit the shelves I had to check out the the "Then" current Mod (I think it was 1.13, maybe 1.12), can't remember fer sure .... Anyhow, to make a long story longer (Please have patience with me here), some things in life fell through the proverbial cracks and I had to quit playing for awhile. Well, I'm wantin' to get JA2 up and running again with the newest Mod 1.13, and the rest... i.e., HAM.... But can someone Please explain to me how to do it. I can't remember, I'm old...lol... But this is what I have done with no success:

Downloaded the latest SCI, and supplied it with my JA2 location: C:\Program Files\Talonsoft\ .... and let it do it's thing.... It didn't ask to overwrite a thing, and beyond that, it didn't run either. Said it could not locate something like "LARGEFONT.Svi" and then another cryptic error msg. and the game did not initialize...... SO......

I uninstalled the whole nine yards, reinstalled JA2 AND the 1.06 Update patch again, but this time I figured I'd try having the SCI dumping everything into C:\Program Files\Talonsoft\JA2\..... Well, same thing as previous, no overwrites and no game initialization either.

Going through the various forums here I really got confuzzed as to what "might" be going on for a solution. Can someone please help me out here. I truly appreciate your patience in this, but I just can't get a handle on it (But once I do, this won't happen again) Many thanks to all here in advance for the great work you folks are putting into this classic of classics !!!!

Install:
original JA2 (gold)
single click installer 1.13 (in the same directory where you installed JA2) and let overwriting everything.

This should work!

Thanks for the info there marko & Kaerar.... I appreciate that. Can ya tell me which is the most recent, Stable, release ????? I went and grabbed "JA2 1.13 3111 exe SVN@1183 Full" and it installed right away with no perceptible problems.

Not trying to be a jerk or anything, but if the one particular SCI is hosed up or something, why not pull it for now so no one else grabs it in the meantime??? BUT, None the less folks, I really appreciate your help !!! Many thanks again....
