Hello,

The background color in Laptop - Personnel Manager is horrid in JA2 RR v1.13.

Can I change it back to default by removing .sti file? Or adding one from v1.13?

Hi PAW, You need to upload the pic somewhere e.g. photobucket, then make a post here, edit your post, use the insert image icon, change the URL to your hosted pic URL, and save your post.

Okay, I have a .bmp file, how can I make it appear in Forum?

Second, my original question still stands. How can I change background from ugly green to original
black background in the laptop. Does anyone know the file used in RR, can I just remove the green
one, thus game will play with black one?

Hi PAW, I already explained how to post pics directly in this forum in this thread above, upload to e.g. photobucket and edit your post using the image button.

The scorpion changed backgrounds for 1.13, I bet he might know how to do this for RR, search for his posts onthis forum, he replied to some of my posts (just a hint where you can start looking).

Also, I was initialy confused on what it was you were trying to accomplish exactly.

First, I thought you were asking of how to link directly to a pic. You have the right idea, but instead of making a link, use the pic icon.

Then, I thought the camoflauge background was of your doing, but I guess it is Scorpion's work. I have never played the Renegade Republik mod.

Last, You want to know how to change that.

On the file deletion,
Just copy everything so if you do delete the wrong file, it is esily replaceable. Trial and error my man.

Okay, how do you tile a bitmap file?

To *tile* a picture you need tiling software e.g. Photoshop (I guess), personally I would just tile it on my Windows background and make a screen capture large enough for JA2.

If you want to delete this background.. look for laptop->PERSONNELWINDOW.sti and delete that file.. it should revert to the original one in [data1.13]
