Hi,

I've got a quick question regarding sci-fi mode items that appear in MercStartingGear.xml. Let's look at Deidranna's entry in xml. She's armed with Rocket Rifle. Yet she gets another gun in realistic mode (am I correct here?)... So, on what basis are sci-fi items replaced when it comes to npc weapons and armor? Is it hardcoded? Any info how it works would be helpful. Thanks in advance!

I don't think prof.dat or mercstartinggear care if an item listed in them is sci-fi or not. At least i haven't noticed that any sci-fi items would be converted.

I also couldn't see it being converted as Deidranna always had an RR even in normal. In normal I think you won't find the other RR's but Deidranna and Iggy should both still have theirs.

Thanks for info. I have beaten JA2 about 8 years ago, so I didn't remember whether Deidranna had RR in vanilla... Ok, now I need to play with XML editor to "fix" it Wink

BTW - adding different gear loadouts for realistic and sci-fi could be a nice touch in next 1.13 builds Razz

Oh, and great job on the mod guys! I played 1.13 few years ago and it seems that it's even better now (and it was almost perfect then).
