Question !!!

Is it possible to place your troops into a given formation, say, a skirmish line and have them advance together (all at once) without the tendency to converge on the cursor ????

Not as yet. The AI of the characters is not anything like SupCom2's flowfield, it's closer to C&C's I want to be first mechanic Wink

Watch this space I would... meantime move no more than three or four in a single selection. Five or more get tangled up with each other.

I find it constantly annoying, not being able to set mercs to ove in formation, and having them all walking in these weird lines that are inhumanly efficient in the route they take. I would be a fan of any possible upgrade in this department.

Hi Luppolo, Unless you are playing Baldur's Gate or something along these lines, most UFO style games don't have formation movement.

While I do agree it is annoying, the need for formation movement doesn't really come up for me all that often. If you have your mercs advance on the enemy in a formed group, chances are the battle will be easy.

Personally I rarely use formation movement in JA2, most of the time I want two guys flankign on each side while the AR guys are in the front middle and the sniper rifle guys are in the back middle. We will be in really good shape once the game interface can really support things of this nature.

in bg character formation and approach to the enemy is not even remotely essential as in ja Insane, especially with headrock's new AI and crap equipment
