Hi,
I'm a former old French fan of JA2 who hadn't got the opportunity to play the game for ages: I had the patience to install Deidrana Lives with a RTC modem but I gave up with UC... then I had a period Linux, Mac and I'm back to Linux.
About one year ago (I was still on Mac ppc), I heard of Stracciatella and more or less forgot about it since I had a ppc.
Last Monday I eventually remembered about it I decided to install my beloved JA2 on my Linux.
So I discovered I could install not only Stracciatella, but also 1.13, which is awesome.
However there are two version of each (the svn version and tron's version for Straccitella and the alpha and normal version for 1.13).
I really don't know where I shall start:
Which Stracciatella version is the most supported at the moment? / Which version should I post about on the forum?
How do you install 1.13 on linux? I've tried to but the game freezes right after I visit the rebels (during a loading screen); on my terminal it says there's a problem with Alsa, that the game can't find any music in ogg format...
Thanks for your answers, bye.

Cheers,
I've seen that but since I also wondered about 1.13 it didn't post there at first.
