I'd like to find a texture swap to make the little white dots in JA2 with an easier to see/more realistic streak (this video has an example of what I mean: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=38dLCnrl1MM)

Any help rendered is greatly appreciated!

Yes, there is (USE_ALTERNATE_BULLET_GRAPHICS), but only in the 1.13 ini.
From his initial post (and the location of this topic), I think he wants to have this effect in vanilla JA2.

No I have 1.13, shoulda said so in the first post but I assumed that it wouldn't be in 1.13 for some reason. Sent a message to the creator of the video and he confirmed that it was part of HAM 3.5, so the .ini option USE_BULLET_TRACERS is both present and working. Thanks!

It's not part of HAM 3.5, I don't remember who made the alternate bullet graphics though. For users of 1.13 versions above 3329, it'll be USE_ALTERNATE_BULLET_GRAPHICS as Brot correctly pointed out. Users of older versions will find USE_BULLET_TRACERS in the INI file. The two settings work exactly the same, only the name was changed since the feature doesn't have anything to do with tracer bullet system, it's just a graphical tweak.
