Hi, I'm new to Ja2 113 and its simply great. I have been using the XML editor and I'm making some new stuff with the creepy bugs from the mines.

One of them is the posibility to make a creature gas grenade.

you only have to merge a creature organ with a glass jar and the result item is a "Jar of Acid"
I have made the description, the stats, even a new explotion and sound but the problem is that when I use "creature gas" type in the explosives stats it works different from the mustar gas or the others. And Something I can't change is the duration. The creature gas doesn't go away and stay there until you leave the sector.

Is there a way to edit it? or if changing that could affect the bugs, is it posible to add a new type in the explosives stats?

Hi Eduardo, Were you able to find out how to do that yet? If not, post the Items.xml for just the jar of acid, the matching entry in Explosives.xml and if you modified ExplosionData.xml then this entry as well, I will see what I can do to help you.

Location: Far far away.
The duration is the "Stability" of the anim... in this case you want to enter 3 like all other gas field effects.

Damn... long time no be in here. Good thing I still remember my account pass. Sorry about dissaperaring, lads... I lost internet at the time and when I got the service back, I just forgot about this.

I never knew what was wrong with it. I tried several things but for some reason, the creature gas behaves in a different way. I remember I thought about making a new gas type using the same green smoke sprite but I just didn't know how to do that. Razz

I might start modding again. I always wanted to add something like a item crafting thing.

Here, I still have the pics uploaded so you can see a couple of things I made:

Creature Organ + Glass Jar = Jar of Acid

This was supposed to be a selfmade grenade out of Crepitus' organs. I thought about making it posible to get 1 Jar of Acid and a Squeezed Organ to use more Jars and get more Jars of Acid out of it, OR to make the the Organs appear again but with more damage every time it gets "squeezed" with more Jars.


Creature Claw + Tools Box = Claw Knife

I think I made this Knife too overpowered in those days but meh... it was my first days modding this game. Razz This item creation was kinda like when you mix knife and T-shirt to make Rags, so you get the Tools Box back instead of losing it. I was thinking about making the Tools Box and things like Duct Tape really important to item crafting those days.


Also, some random things:

Since the Jar of Acid used the same sprite as the Jar of Elixir, I decided to make a new one for the Elixir.

I always hated the normal blood being the same color as the Creatures blood. I slighly changed the description by taking "human" from there since you get the same Jar of Blood from Bloodcats.

The cigarettes could give a short boost like the AP booster, not as strong, then I would have a reason to smoke in the game.

Maybe a morale boost too. I actually made the cigarette pack to replace the cigars just coz I didn't like the cigars. Razz

Giving them an actual use would be nice. I remember I made them slightly expensive since it was an uncommon commodity in Arulco and stuff like that, so the only reason to pick them up was to sell them.
