I am new to the game and was wondering if Optimist attitude helps when training milita? I have tried to get this several times but always end up with Normal
Can someone tell me if it does or does not help so I can stop wasting my time.

One more question about the IMP quiz, can you skip questions? Only answer the question that you want to so you get the skills and personality you want.
Also does anyone realy care what their personality is other than those that want physco?
Will your merc have more sayings as a coward or some other personality?

What do you mean you can't get the attitude of optimist?I got it,many times!
There's always,or at least so it looks to me,some hazard element involved in the IMP construction...cause you can answer the questions perfectly,to get the skills you want,and you sometimes get the "wrong" result.Oh,nothing a few tries won't do...
And yes,you can skip the questions(not all the times),looks like if you pres the "next" button several times ,after you press the "previous",you can go right to the one that interests you.Not sure about the newest versions,but it worked in 1.03.Didn't use it,though.

Well, I never have...I've only had psycho, loner or normal. Never optimist, never aggressive. I suppose I could have had "coward" if I picked certain answers, but I can't bring myself to pick them
The full list of possible personalities and attitudes is:
typedef enum
{
NO_PERSONALITYTRAIT = 0,
HEAT_INTOLERANT,
NERVOUS,
CLAUSTROPHOBIC,
NONSWIMMER,
FEAR_OF_INSECTS,
FORGETFUL,
PSYCHO
} PersonalityTrait;
#define NERVOUS_RADIUS 10
typedef enum
{
ATT_NORMAL = 0,
ATT_FRIENDLY,
ATT_LONER,
ATT_OPTIMIST,
ATT_PESSIMIST,
ATT_AGGRESSIVE,
ATT_ARROGANT,
ATT_BIG_SHOT,
ATT_ASSHOLE,
ATT_COWARD,
NUM_ATTITUDES
} Attitudes; So what questions/answers give you optimist then?

"Friendly" means his attitude. Might be IMP, might be other Merc with attitude "friendly"
again, the only ones that won`t shoot innocent civilians by purpose are Mercs labeled "good guy" in Prof.dat
i dunno whether the IMP can become a "good guy" or not, as the IMP is not controlled through Prof.dat
Maybe you can edit htis value using jape savegame editor
