Why do you want to use the feature specifically for portraying magnifying scopes to portray a non-magnifying sight? Never mind, I get what you're wanting (though why mention the NCTH Scope Mag Factor when it has nothing directly to do with the request?). Also does the stock v1.13 Reflex Sight give a Flat Aim Bonus? As far as I know this is the nearest equivalent to the OCTH Aim bonus.

Projection Factor is the NCTH feature for portraying LAM devices. Works just fine, in fact, my projects have a Holo Sight (Advance Reflex Sight) that gives a small Flat Aim Bonus, works just fine without a range restriction.

Sure, except it would overlap with the ISV-M, combo LAM/Reflex, meaning projection factor is not used on basic reflex devices. Basic Reflex Sights in stock v1.13, and my own projects which used NCTH as a starting point, use only the Aiming Level bonus to portray its function - the ISV-M uses both Aiming Level and Projection Factor as it is essentially two devices.

EDIT: NCTH seems to have features specific to class of attachment:

Mag Factor = Scopes
Aiming Level = Reflex (and presenting fodder for balance arguments regarding gun slinger/fighter traits)
Projection Factor = LAM

Quite frankly, we do not know what some (arguably most) of the existing NCTH tags do right now, or their potential; why confuse things with more (possibly redundant or out of concept) tags?

OCTH "MaxRangeForAimBonus" and Aim Bonus were originally used for laser sights. The Reflex sight in OCTH originally, and still is I think, reduces AP cost for shooting. I don't remember it increasing Old CTH in stock v1.13.

EDIT: for its many problems, NCTH is doing the same with the reflex, it gives free aim-clicks. Does the Aim-Level bonus really need a range restriction? The projection factor, used by LAM devices under NCTH, plays with range with is akin to the old AimBonus and its range limit.

Outside of stock v1.13, we have other options, like Flat Aim and perhaps Base (once it is properly explained by someone with authoritative knowledge of NCTH).
