Yep. Edit them in the XML editor.
Fast instructions:
1) Open the xml editor.exe file in your install directory. it takes a bit to load up.
2) use the drop down menus to show you the lists of items you want to see. items --> show --> by class --> guns (or a similar path).
3) right click on a weapon that you want to edit. click "enable editing".
4) Once an item is edit-enabled, you have to uncheck the box in the column for "sci fi" to make it appear in realistic mode.
5) After editing what you like, click the save button in the top toolbar to save all your work.
Don't forget that you will also have to edit the ammo for these weapons, too, if you want to be able to purchase it at Bobby Rays.

RyftYes... that's quite possible, too. You can disable the crepitus appearances in the .ini file.
Since I have obviousy not tried that yet - how do you solve the "mine problem" if the Crepitus are not present ?... Or maybe the quest is never given/mine never shut down ? Just curious.

On a related note, does SciFi mode take precedence over Tons of Guns?
Currently I'm doing the opposite: I'm playing Reduced Guns, but also removed the ToG marker from many well-known guns and ammo I'd like to have. That way I can get a wider selection, but without many of the guns hardly anyone has ever heard of.
If I activate ToG in a later game and play realistic mode, that will still exclude the experimental weapons, right (which is how I want it)? And enemies won't use them either? I'm also asking because I saw that the "enemy items" selection includes all the experimental stuff at the highest levels.

SciFi and Tons of Guns are two different settings. Each item can have one of 4 possible combinations
Realistic and Few Guns
Realistic and Tons of Guns
SciFi and Few Guns
SciFi and Tons of Guns.
If you play with SciFi, the Realistic will show, assuming the Guns settings is correct.
If you play with Tons of Guns, Few Guns will show, assuming the Realistic/SciFi setting is correct.
