Hi, I might have an idea for a mod, but I would like to know something about this - is it possible for merges to use a certain percentage of one of the source items? E.g. I want to use a canteen of water + a packet of instant coffee to create a cup of coffee, using up the packet but only 50% of the canteen. Is this possible in the code?

You could easily think of other areas this might be useful ... no merge including duct tape can seriously use up the whole roll ... you could require gas for making advanced Molotovs, but losing a 10L can of gas to fill a .7L bottle? Only if your merc emptied the bottle by drinking it.

It is possible, however a new merge type would have to be coded (especially if you want the resulting food to have a specific decay state (as in: not totally rotten)).

It will have less to do with food and more to do with explosives, actually >:3

... although a more complete food mod isn't a bad idea.
