Do enjoy Spengler, he stimulates some really out of the box thoughts:Quote:ASK SPENGLER
Will African Christians raze Mecca?
Readers may send queries to editor@atimes.com.Quote:Dear Spengler,
If Mecca is ever razed by an invading army, it will not be Israeli or American or European, but will march up from Africa south of the Sahara - though it would take a couple of generations more for the impending Christian transformation of Africa to proceed that far. If I were an Arab, I would be looking anxiously south. The current crisis in the Anglican Communion is revealing. Elan and freshness of thought are actually with the conservatives. The prominent role of the Nigerian Archbishop Akinola is also telling (his province contains many more practicing Anglicans than Britain and North America combined).
The challenge from Islam may produce a number of surprising and unexpected responses in the West, of greater significance than the military conflict. Interesting times ahead.
Sincerely,

6 Million Muslims LEAVE Islam every year!!!

Dear friends:
Here is my partial translation of the AL-Jazeerah intervew between Maher Abdallah and Shiekh Ahmed Katani talking about the issue of 6 million muslims leaving Islam every year in Africa alone. This was a television interview that was transcribed and I translated it into English.
Here is the original article I translated from Arabic from Al-Jezeerah's web site.

Maher Abdallah:
Dear viewers, peace of Allah be upon you, greetings and welcome to a new episode of the program Islamic Law and Life.
Our topic this evening will be Christianization in the Dark Continent ... Africa. For after Islam was the religion of the majority, the great majority of that continent, the number of Muslims now is no greater than a third of the population. This is taking into consideration, of course, that a large portion of this group are Arab Muslims. No doubt that the missions of evangelization and Christianization played a great role in this demographic shift of Muslims in the continent.
To discuss this topic, it is my pleasure to introduce today a man who is an expert on the issue of evangelization and Christianization in Africa, even though he will concentrate on the issue of Christianization first and foremost?. Sheikh Ahmad Al Katani; the president of The Companions Lighthouse for the Science of Islamic Law in Libya, which is an institution specializing in graduating imams and Islamic preachers.
Sheikh Ahmad, welcome to you on the program.

Khor1255Let's hope not. Anytime someone does something like this it is a blow against humanity. Like when the Taliban blew those thousands years old faces off those cliffs. We should have kicked their ass for that alone. I honestly think cultural degredation should be something the UN goes to war over. As for the 'Razing Mecca', that's just an attention getter ... although would you be against 'razing' a sacrificial alter/shrine used for the ripping the victim's heart out?

abradleyKhor1255Yes. I would. I'm all for educating people away from such a religion but destroying all evidence of it's existence doesn't do anything for humanity and is in fact counterproductive. I mean, look at how many Holocaust deniers there already are. Imagine how many more there would be if we destroyed all evidence of it's exisistence. My two reasons for destroying the artifact are: when ancient tribes with different gods warred, the victor's god was seen as superior so the victors would destroy the loser's artifact and raise their own in it's stead. Yes, and we have supposedly moved into a more enlightened age where a religion is seen for it's merits instead of it's 'bling'. I'm not a Christian because they have really cool churches or I like the pope's hat. It goes much deeper than that.
abradleyLater the Christians often built churches on pagan holy sites to show their god was/is supreme. And this is a blow against humanity. I understand why they did what they did but it is unfortunate and should not be tolerated in the modern age. abradleyIn modern wars fought by two modern forces , like WW1 and WW2, declaring one's god is superior doesn't fit, except if one of the adversaries is warring for religious purposes, believing their doing god's work, then I see a reason to raze their artifact and raise our own. I still don't see a good reason. However, when we insisted on handling the emporer of Japan this was absolutely necessary to dispell they myth that he was a living god. But that is rather different than cultural genocide which should be completely unacceptable in today's world if for no other reason than that it decreases our understanding of history.
abradleyAs for #two the easiest way for me to reply is this: Quote:The Jacksonian Tradition.
http://www.ja-galaxy-forum.com/board/ubbthreads.php/topics/310960/The_Jacksonian_Tradition.html#Post310960 Was raised in this tradition and still believe in it.
Mess with the bull, you get the horn. I think some of the things Jackson did were absolutely necessary in his day. There really was a permeable border on our western flank that needed to be sured up. That said, there are better ways of dealing with this sort of thing today thanks to better technology.
