Does anyone here have Silent Storm, and do you know if it will run on Windows 7?
I downloaded a demo off of CNet, managed to pick up some malware in the process, and
was stuck with an error message that it didn't support my video card.

Am hoping that a full blown Gold Pack version might actually work.

Yeah. Not sure if I'm up to hex editing. Thanks though.
I think I may just go with Plan B and play oe of the versions of Fallout over the holidays.

I can at least say that the GOG version works flawless on Vista, which my original SS Universe Collection did not.

Also Protip, get the Watchdog mod. It will automatically adjust the skills of your soldiers so they don't become worse than the ones you left at the base.

I'm using the GOG version too. I think this version has been patched. ... Gold Pack. Have tried to uninstall and re-install to get the mod editor, but apparently it isn't bundled with them, even though there are directions in the files for using the editor. Strange.

Also, been trying to edit the autoexec.cfg file by adding wirbelwind to the end, but it locks up the game. I'm guessing the game may be patched to prevent using the cheat commands?

Interestingly, Silent Storm ran fine, but started playing Sentinel (which I have heard is the best one) and the graphics went all wonky.

Got any mods you can upload? The last few things I have downloaded have come loaded with malware. Somehow in the past week, I picked up a trojan file that I thought I'd gotten rid of, but it seems to be harder to get rid of that it first appeared. I'm about to purchase a tougher security application. I had let my old one expire and was trying to get by on Microsoft Security Essentials.

no got no mods and the mod editor only works with the original version and only under windows xp. http://www.strategycore.co.uk/files/ is a good place to get silent storm mods.

btw if you have a compromized system the best thing to do is wiping the hard drive than the threat is gone for good.

good luck

My crash probably was an issue with the NVIDIA driver on my laptop.

Is there a way in Silent Storm to add uniforms to the database that can be worn by team members?
I saw the More Uniforms mod, and loaded it, but it can only be used by the main character at the beginning of the game.

Unrelated to that, I figured out how to use the WIRBELWIND code on the patched version. Basically, they had created a new .cfg file and hidden it in a different file location. Also, I think it might have literally been a hidden file too, but I can't remember.

Still no way that I can tell to add uniforms mid game like in S3.
