I love that I can have larger squads in 1.13, but unfortunately the vehicles are still restricted to six passengers. This makes them somewhat useless when I have a squad of e.g. 7 mercenaries, and I have to either leave one behind or leave the vehicle behind. Is there any way to increase the maximum amount of passengers that a vehicle allows?

Another question: would it be possible to duplicate the vehicles like you can do with mercs? If so, I could simply change the colours and we would already have a few more...

You can set the maximum number of passengers a vehicle can have in Vehicles.xml. Any number you want... as long as its < 10 (hardcoded) Smile

There can be up to 6 vehicles, so one could clone them I guess. More than 6 is... not possible at the moment.

Excellent! Thanks so much. I'll test it out when I get home. Will I have to start a new game for a change to take effect? If yes, is there any way to make the change apply to an existing saved game?

The changes will only take effect if you start a new game. In an utterly bizarre twist, the will also only take effect if you do not load an old savegame :scary: :eek3: before starting a game. I am pretty astonished as to this... odd way of coding it, but that's how it is. I might cahnge it some time, bu that doesn't help you now... start a new game.

The only way to apply that currently is via debugger.

Edit: I've coded a fix that will make this workable in existing games. I'll add this once SVN is accessible again.

As of r6093, changes to Vehicles.xml will now have an effect in a working game.

Just don't do any weird crap with this. Like defining a 9-seat vehicle when your max. squad size is 8. That might break things, didn't test (I expect oddities in that case).

It's an addition since some not-too-recent unstable revision. It can be set in .ini (or was it start new game screen?) and it scales along with resolution selected then.
