Hm, I never bothered dropping the backpacks... only when I needed to climb on a roof.
I know of the other shortcuts, and use them all the time, I like nice and orderly sector inventories. Smile

(I also do the shift-m, so all the stuff is brought to the center of the sector, makes it harder for enemies to take stuff if they invade)
