The office behind the tatoo parlor, you have to pick the door lock to get in---the key is for a desk inside that sometimes hold camo and money.

You can't shoot door locks...

That key if I remember is the key for Maria's room. That way you can just pay 100 dollars for that one girl and unlock Maria's room, save a good 300 bucks.

Oh, but You can...

It's just hard as hell, and mostly succeeds by pure dumb luck. Don't know if it works on tougher doors, but I've managed open regular doors which are found around in most towns.

Don't forget the closet doors, which can be shot open with ease. Then again, anybody can just *crack* those open too...

Pretty sure it's for the Desk...in fact I am so sure I'd bet your IMP's life on it Wink

I quite sure that the key is for Maria's room, what i'm not sure of is if you use it on the backdoor too.

As for shooting locks of doors, if Maddog can't get it open with his kit then it can expect a few high-speed rounds to come flying at it.
I carry a shotgun for this and for those close combat situations as opposed to a burst.

It's for the desk. How else would you explain that the desk can't be opened without it, then suddenly it can with it. Besides, Maria's door is always open.

Just to remind everybody, we're talking about the key from the bathroom in the bar...not the key from the room in the whore house. The key from the house opens the back door without setting off the alarm.

If this doesn't do the job, I suggest my IMP (Packrat) meet your IMP (what's his name?) at High Noon on main street! And none of this hiding troops on roofs or around corners!

Lord I wish we could do this! Very Happy

I have never shot open a lock deliberately, but once, in a firefight in Cambria, a missed shot from a Redshirt popped a lock. (it said "lock hit" or something...)

The key's for a desk in a house. There's never really anything too interesting in it so you're ot missing much.

Yeah.
The content of that reddish-brown crate is around 600 bucks in value, most of the time a camo kit is there.
The other one is from the back door of the brothel,so there is no need to butcher Kingpin's men,or to untrap the door.
EXTRA TIP: both keys can be lifted from the map screen, avoiding making those BOZOs nervous.

Eh...shooting doorlocks is as easy as hell. You need the remington shotgun for it and all you do is shoot at the door while standing right next to it. Always hits the lock until it breaks.

You can shoot locks of almost every door you want, with almost every kind of weapon you want. This is also a great tactic to get easy and free xp. in Marksmanship whitout putting the chance to get shot back.

I often try the shoot it open approach.
Wooden doors is in fact the only door type you can shoot open.
Metal doors is a waste of ammo to even try.
It also works on chests and lockers if you cannot get them open in any other way.
It is also a good way to get to out some frustration.

The 2nd way when you cannot open the door is to MAKE a new door using explosives.
However it requires a bit of map knowledge so you don't blow the guy on the other side all to hell...

^ Yep, TNT in Urban Chaos is the non-violent way to solve one quest, by making your own door.

TNT is also a good way to get rid of a stubborn redshirt hiding in a building, instead of opening the real door and taking a burst to the chest.
