In a bold move, our friend and master coder Tox has decided to go pro and try to make us a masterpiece JA2 STI editor. It's a huge project and will sure have a huge impact on JA2 modding, if we care enough to help him fund it. It's not even a huge sum, just barely enough to provide enough coffee and sandwiches for the development months he'll be putting into it. Take it away, Bears, we NEED you!

Well, JA2 modding direly needs all the advanced and updated tools it can get to keep going.
And up to date tools and editors always were one of the main goals and core requirements of the SMP project.

If JA2 modding is to have any future once JA:F is available with its Unity engine and tools, we absolutely need stuff like this. because really, who wants to suffer through using unergonomic, unstable tools which make modding JA2 one hell of a frustrating and unnecessary time consuming chore?

And if someone is crazy and dedicated enough to actually make this happen, he at least deserves some coffee and sandwiches (and maybe a little joint to calm the nerves now and then)!

Congrats Tox! You deserve all the support and funding you can get as gratitude for over a decade of dedicated JA2 modding and hacking alone.

I reckon we should be able to easily reach the advanced editor, although that and more would still be viable with a second fundraiser at a later date, once the basic editor has been delivered.

Because in the end, we will want and need all the features and tools we can get, but better to have a stable editor with reduced functionality, than a dodgy feature monster. Quality will need to always come first and quality control is always a crucial factor in all crowdsourced software productions.
