 How do I run JA2 1.13 in "windowed" mode? It wants to be in 16-bit color depth to do so, where do I set this? Running Win 7 64 bit, Nvidia GTX 690. Thanks all

 Right click on desktop -> Display resolution -> Advanced settings -> Monitor (tab) -> change the bottom selectbox from 32-bit to 16-bit colors

 Sgt. Tais, I did as you suggested, but it's not working. And I went to the .ini and did in fact change it to "windowed" It's acting like I didn't change the color depth. But I did. . .

 weird, changing it to 16-bit color and applying that should make your whole system switch to that color usage.
The ini setting should ofcourse be set to 1 but you already know that since you got the 16-bit error

You did change the setting like visible in the printscreen?

(yes it's in dutch but it's all pretty much in the same spot)

if you did all this what error are you getting?
It sure as hell cant be the 16-bit color setting that it's complaining about....

 Yes it is. I know it's been changed, because the task bar is no longer clear. This is strange. The reason I wanted to change it was to alt-tab out to notepad to make notes on who's carrying what and what gear someone has equipped. Ya' know, selecting a merc and sending their inventory and stats out to a printer would be a nice touch. . . Again, I get the same error. I'll fiddle with it some more. Probably something basic. . . I even changed it and rebooted. Same thing.
