 Why are my squads all in a "bunch" when entering a hostile sector? Just inviting a grenade attack? Don't get the option to "place" merc's along edges. It seems nonsensical that professional merc's would herd together like frightened sheep.

 That's the problem. There is no deployment zone. No chance to deploy. I get the message, "Enemies in sector." If I choose to enter it, I'm all bunched together in the center of the sector.

 Loot, please. The only option I have is to have only one squad enter the sector or both. Either way, I'm in the center, in a bunch.

 It's an ambush. No deployment zone. In the middle. On a road. In a bunch. Map so big, I can't fold it properly. But, If Raven informs me that there are enemies about, how can it be an ambush? Or am I just "beating around the bush?"

 When ambushed, mercs are placed at the center gridno. There is no other elaborate code there - ambush is just that. Your mercs are SUPPOSED to be in a really bad situation. Because that's what an ambush is all about.

Forget about formations or other wacky stuff here.

 Okay. Okay. I'm doing all of that. First thing I do is alt-z for each squad, for stealth, and then I have every one crouch, so we don't shoot each other, and look in all directions. Hopefully, the enemies are within suppressed pistol range. Then I gradually move into an ever expanding circle. Oh well. . .

Captain DB, I gently apologize for gently teasing you.

Can I use this forum to suggest something?

Using stuff that's just laying around, this + that + that, equals extra fuel tanks for the chopper. Each tanks give you 2 more tiles of range. But you lose one passenger for each tank. Possible? Stupid?
