How would you folks feel about having minimap with NPC locations? Doesnt look as Thomas said it would, honestly. And those colored dots could be replaced by more illustrative icons.

Yep, nice idea. Minimaps being images, they are easily modifiable. It's a good solution to show NPCS without messing with LOS and the like. Non intrusive and efficient!

Nice idea. Perhaps I'm too demanding, however :

- As the discovery of main NPCs and merchants is part of the pleasure, I'd would activate the marker on the minimap only after (or during) the first meeeting.

- I second the already mentioned idea to have a 360 view in a safe area.

- I would suggest to have a merchant spot on the strategic map on places where s/he has been met.

A good dirty fix for highlighting POIs, i am all for it.

Alternatively, i'd suggest a little hack: set all important NPCs models on the map permanently visible, once they have been discovered or talked to. Their positions don't change usually, so it would be like the mercs simply remembering their whereabouts.
