Map and Militia training questions[message #346089]

Is this what the map is supposed to look like? I can barely see anything

How come I cant train militia even with 73% loyalty? The minimum loyalty in the INI is set at 20%. Do I need to talk to the priest first?

This can be result of using/not using DLL or registry fix in Win 8+.
Also you can try disabling "Alternate strategic map colors" option in game options.
In Wildfire mod for 1.13, you can only train militia in sectors with A.C.A building.

did that, didnt work. I just downloaded Wildfire and it worked there

Does it have an A.C.A building on the sector map or does it have the facility "A.C.A Building"? The facility is required or some other facility that allows militia training. Of course it would be good if facilities were consistent with map layout but I'm not familiar with AIMNAS maps.

I reinstalled AIMNAS, the map thing is ok now. Not sure about the Militia training

Militia training is somewhat inconsistent still... I might want to revisit that in the near future.

Since it's a similar issue i guess i'll just appropriate the thread.

After the latest xmas update i can't train militia in any towns, and mobile militia despite "working" spawns no militia at all when the job finishes.

That's probably related to the "militia requires resources to get trained" feature. I think I didn't add the proper files for that yet. Maybe there's an ini option to turn it off?

Militia requires resources

If your game looks like the screenshots in that thread then the feature is turned on. In that case you require an increasing amount of resources to train certain types of militia. If you don't want that you can disable the feature in JA2_Options.ini. Parameters are all explained in the feature thread.

That fixed it, thanks. Where can i find the allow_reinforcements setting for AIMNAS? I tried changing the difficultysettings.xml in the AIM data folder, but reinforcements are still disabled.

There are additional reinforcement settings in JA2_Options.ini.
Just search for ALLOW_REINFORCEMENTS_ONLY_IN_CITIES. This option and others below it define certain characteristics of reinforcements.

Nevermind, it's just that there are multiple "allowreinforcement" strings in the .xml file and i needed to turn all of them on.

Well, you need to change the options in the block that represents the difficulty setting you selected. Each difficulty has its own block of options.

Hi, I'm afraid that I too am having trouble recruiting militia since the 2016 xmas update.
Latest version of 1.13 SCI, AIMNAS fresh of Github. Militia resources system is disabled in the .ini

Just liberated the airport, plenty of loyalty, militia training option is blacked out angry

Any ideas?

I assume you mean Drassen Airport in sector B13. This sector doesn't have a facility that allows training militia.
