This is not exactly true. Bob's fixes help against the lockups which is a great boon. They don't help against the poor performance of JA2 1.13 on Windows 10 especially in higher resolutions.

There are three fixes against performance problems that I am aware of:

1. The 3 WINE Dlls from the "Docs\Windows Compatibility Fixes" folder. They make the game run fast but they also lead to the garbled air/mobile militia view in strategic screen. I cannot recommend these Dlls.

2. The registry fixes from "Docs\Windows Compatibility Fixes". They also fix the performance problems. Downside is that there is one fix for full screen and one for windowed mode which are mutually exclusive.

I don't know why they were done this way and I won't replace those .reg files at the moment but if you want to have a fix for both full screen and windowed mode at the same time use this as the reg file (adjust the path before importing into your registry!)

This is a merge of the options from both .reg files and my preferred solution as it works without additional software.

3. The WINE Dlls that Starchris linked. Those were unknown to me so far but they help as well as the Dlls from solution 1 BUT they do NOT cause the garbled view.
