Forgive me if this has already been mentioned, but I couldn't find anything in a forum search. Has anyone ever made a mod to eliminate bloody throwing knives? Adding bloody versions of knives was a terrible design choice in this game and just makes inventory management a hassle. I understand that bloody knives are a separate item type and can't be simply removed, but it seems like the simplest solution would be to always have a normal throwing knife produced when any kind (bloody or normal) is thrown. This way, if you get a bloody knife as random loot it could be easily converted to the normal version and stay that way permanently.
It would be nice if this change were incorporated into the main v1.13 mod if/when another version is released. I doubt many people enjoy the tedium from having to micromanage two different kinds of throwing knives that don't stack together.
If this can be changed by simply editing the XML files, can anyone point me in the right direction? Thanks!

True, although it seems like they made a weird exception for throwing knives. For instance, we don't have bloody combat knives (KCB, SOG, etc.) yet, realistically, they would get bloody when used just like throwing knives. Realistically, you would also be able to store bloody knives in the same compartment as clean knives. I don't think the "bloody" version really adds anything to the game apart from flavor, so the added inventory management doesn't seem warranted.
Thanks for the code! I'll try that out.
