Dear all,
i am an old JA2 fan from the past and in these days i hope to bring JA 2 to run @ my macbook mid 2017 with intel CPU/GPU.
I have installed the GOG version but the game would not start after double klick the game-icon, no game screen opens, and no message pop up.
After that i read in your forum and find some hints how to run the game on a mac.
I downloaded the SDL 1.2.15 source code and copy this to library/ frameworks. After that i open the terminal and switch to the library / frameworks directory, but when i type in:
./configure i got some messages that told me "permission denied"
And also same message when i try "install".
I have an admin account at the mac.
Could please somebody from you help me to come forward with this issue?

Hey and thank you very much for your experience wit JA2 @ a mac, i will try this in this week.
I still furter interesting in solve the "permission denied" issue in the terminal when i try to installing the SDL source code, maybe someone here knows how it could be managed.

hi tempi. just a note if this helps. i am testing the stracciatella version on ja2 vanilla btw so it might not work the same. i used winebottler by kronenberg (google it) to install. i tried wineskin and it didnt like the installer for some reason(it may be the other way round, cant exactly remember). once the installation is done, you can safely copy the ja2 files to a separate location so stracciatella can read the files. not sure if v1.13 works the same but hopefully this can give some insights.
