 is there any way i could raise stats that are at 0
such as 0 mechanical or 0 explisives or 0 medical?

 This is business of not being able to raise 0 stats is a major screw up on the part of Sirtech. Surely it is possible to learn something new even if your knowledge of a particular subject is nil. In ja1, 0 stats could be raised.

 I think it was meant to illustrate how some people are inept at certain tasks. A better way to handle this would have been to slow the advance of certain stats but I'm happy they got it down as good as they did.

 It also gives the different people more character. Like I always have a good medic near Buzz for instance as shet can't use a medipack at all. Plus being Buzz she nearly always gets shot up and needs patching.

It may not be the best solution but it isn't the worst I have seen.
